News for week of November 10

Harvest

The church was decorated for a benefice Harvest Festival on the 13th of October, followed by a harvest lunch. The three local primary schools also celebrated harvest in church on the 11th, 16th and 18th of October.

Quiz night

On Saturday evening July 20 we enjoyed a quiz night in the village hall.

Church Fête

In the sunshine on Saturday 22nd June visitors enjoyed the alpacas, a vintage tractor, music by the Tewkesbury Town Training Band and the Corps of Drums. Inside and outside church there were a variety of fête stalls of interest to adults and children.

Eco Church

The church has now joined the Eco Church project to make our church more eco-friendly. and have been awarded a bronze certificate

Eco Tip for November

Green your home. Combat climate change and reduce heating costs by identifying and sealing drafts around your home. Find the gaps that let the cold air in and warm air out (think keyholes, letterboxes, cracks around the edges or bottoms of windows and doors, loft hatches, floorboards, etc.) and fix these gaps using the correct materials and online tutorials. Additionally, place foil or radiator panels to reflect heat into your room. Pray for those who might be experiencing the cold this winter.
